As New Yorkers struggle with out-of-control electric utility costs, elected leaders should be finding solutions!
An amendment to bill S.8461 was recently offered by Senator Mark Walczyk (R), District 49, proposing to return $2 billion dollars of unused money from the NYSERDA Climate Investment Account fund to New York electric utility customers as relief to high electric utility bills.
Unfortunately, the bill was rejected by Senate Democrats. Time and time again senate and assembly democrats torpedo efforts to save New Yorkers real money. Their obsession with the green agenda is clouding their responsibilities of their office; and that is the affordability of their communities and the quality of life for all the citizens of our great state.
Elected leaders should be proposing solutions!
Dan Fusco supports solutions which provide relief to New York residents without placing future burden on the taxpayers and ratepayers. Policies which kick the can further down the road will only make matters worse. We need to hold policy makers and individuals responsible for the root cause of the problem accountable now.
