DAN FUSCO

NYS ASSEMBLY 119TH DISTRICT

Working for You.

Dan Fusco is running to deliver practical, affordable solutions that put people first. His campaign is rooted in community, fiscal responsibility, and a belief that the government should work for everyday New Yorkers, not against them.

A Platform Focused on Affordability and Quality of Life

Dan Fusco’s platform centers on the issues that most directly affect families at the kitchen table: costs, care, and community. While many issues matter, his campaign prioritizes three core areas that resonate deeply within the 119th District and across New York State.

Affordable, Accessible, and Fair

Health care costs, including over-burdensome insurance premiums, continue to rise faster than household incomes, placing an unfair burden on working families, seniors, and those on fixed incomes. Dan supports meaningful health care reform that prioritizes affordability, access, and patient-centered care ensuring no one has to choose between their health and their finances.

Tackling Runaway Costs

Energy affordability is one of the most urgent issues facing New Yorkers today, hitting seniors and low-income families especially hard. Dan is committed to addressing runaway energy costs by supporting responsible, cost-conscious energy policies that provide keeps-the-lights-on reliability without crushing household budgets.

Restoring Affordability in New York

With state spending up dramatically and property and school taxes projected to rise sharply in the coming years, affordability is reaching a breaking point. Dan believes New York must rein in spending growth, protect homeowners and renters, and restore balance so families can afford to stay and thrive in their communities.

Public Safety

New York is suffering from high rates of crime, and our streets are no longer safe, regardless of the size of the community. Bail Reform, Raise the Age, and Discovery Reform have only served to make matters worse. Dan will work with his fellow legislators on both sides of the aisle to propose and deliver meaningful proposals that will protect our communities and deliver a fair and judicious criminal justice system. But along with that he will propose legislation that will give those who may be prone to committing crime a hand up, not a handout. The root cause of crime is poor education, poor communities, inadequate home life and the lack of self-worth that can breed crime.

Education

New York spends more per student in our country but only ranks middle of the road in comparison to other states. Every year the legislature throws more and more of our hard-earned dollars at the problems, only to find we are slipping farther down in quality and graduation rates. As the recipient of a technical education, Dan knows the value of working in a practical vocation, and will collaborate with our teachers and administration to find ways to encourage more on a path of success and dignity.

Agriculture

Agriculture and farming are vital to the economy of the state of New York. They serve as stewards to the land, provide thousands of good paying jobs, and make sure that food security is guaranteed to each and every New Yorker. It can truly be said that farming is the backbone of the state's economy and serves millions with a high-quality product at a reasonable cost. Our state ranks high in productivity and innovation and continues to be on the forefront of new techniques and processes for marketing their goods. Most farms in our state are within a short distance of a major metropolitan area making for an ideal venue for their goods

But farming in our state is under attack. Foreign corporations, with deep pockets, are pushing for solar and wind projects that are using up good tillable farmland to provide for an insatiable demand for power, at the expense of our local communities and our quality of life. Also, politicians in Albany are continuously placing more and more obstacles in the way of our framers to do what they do best, provide for the people. The high cost of doing business in New York also effects our farmers, and I will do my best in the assembly to fight for our farming communities and make sure that their voices matter.
