UTICA, N.Y. — A Republican has joined the race for the 119th Assembly District.
Dan Fusco, a Town board member in Deerfield, had planned to challenge incumbent Marianne Buttenschon until she announced she would not run for re-election.
Utica Councilman Joe Betar is the announced Democrat in the race.
Fusco said that he will bring decades of experience as a small business owner, manufacturer, farmer and community leader.
